Funeral service for Sarah Laura Brasher, age 82, will be 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel. The Rev. Donnie Blackmon and Rev. John Limbaugh will officiate with burial following in Talladega Springs Cemetery. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 11, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Parker Brasher; sons, Parker Ray and Gary Brasher; daughter, Shirley Carroll; parents, Joshua and Ida Lee Smith; three sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Lamoon) Brasher of Tuscon, AZ; Randy (Amy) Brasher of Sylacauga; Steve (Tina) Brasher of Fayetteville; daughters, Elsie Collier, Sue McDaniel, Reba (Doug) Owens, and Lib (Kent) Burks of Fayettville; grandchildren she raised, Darrell Rogers, Teresa Thomas, Lynn Bryant, Michelle Roberson, and Toby Roberson; grandchildren, Crystal, Tony, Lynn, Harry, Sara, Grace, Makayla, Brittney, Austin, Steven, Ashton, and Catie; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Darson, Devon, Dana, Trenton, Tabitha, Kyle, Nicholas, Caden, Paige, Shirley Ann, Dylan, Dalton, and Gina; great great grandchildren, Kamron, Ella Faith, and Remi. Pallbearers will be Steve Brasher, Steven Brasher, Randy Brasher, Austin Brasher, Toby Roberson, and Doug Owens.
