Barbara June Acors, 72, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Lillian Acors; and brothers Lewis and Earl Acors. Barbara did clerical work for many years. She enjoyed working with her hands quilting, crocheting and embroidering. She was the caregiver for her mother for many years. Survivors include her brother, Linwood Acors (Pat) of Woodford; and five sisters, Lois Thomas of Chesterfield, Joyce Carter (Thomas) of Woodford, Doris Hall of Partlow, Christine Hart (George) of Woodford, and Vernell Ebron of Richmond. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Bethany Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Thomas, Dennis Acors, Wallace Whittaker, Orville Thompson, Berry Acors and Christopher Thompson.
