He was a retired electrician of 35 years from PPG industries in New Martinsville. He was an avid farmer; served on the Tyler County Fair Board; member of Archers Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Iris (Barnhouse) Smith; brothers, Burl (his twin), Paul, Virgil, and triplet brother who died at birth, Thomas, Guy, and Harry Smith; sister, Virginia (Smith) VanCamp.
He will be missed by his wife, Donna (Haught) Smith; daughter, Lisa; son, Burl; grandchildren, Joe, Matthew, Bethany, and Nick; sister, Madge; brothers, Blaine and Wayne.
services were held at Myers Funeral Home, with Evangelist Tom Butterfield and Pastor Bill Williamson officiating.
