KERRVILLE – Minnie Mae Farr, 82, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on September 2, 2015 at a local care facility in Kerrville, TX.

Minnie Farr was born April 28, 1933 to Namond Adams and Louisa Bedford Adams in Hallettsville, TX. She was the fourth child to be born to this union. She moved to Kerrville in 1942. Minnie accepted Christ at the early age of nine and became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Kerrville. She received her education at Doyle High School. She met Calvin Farr and they married on May 16, 1950, of this union came five children. Minnie was employed and retired from the VA Hospital and was also a cook at the Salvation Army. She was well known for her open door hospitality to family, friends and strangers. Her favorite past time was playing bingo, traveling with her sister Ethel Dorsey and watching children play softball. Minnie’s favorite flowers are roses and she always loved to talk and laugh with her grand kids.

She is preceded in death by Lela Adams, Namond Adams Jr., Lucille Adams, Jack Adams, Ethel Dorsey and her daughter, Agnes David.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her children, Alvin and Marjore Farr of Paramount, CA, David and Samantha Farr of Corsicana, TX, Dorothy and Orlando Triplett of Columbus, GA, Barbara and Calvin Jordan of Kerrville, TX; brother, Raymond Adams and wife Glenda; grandchildren’ Paulette Dimeory Lee, David Farr Jr., Davida Farr, Shelvia Farr, Kevin Farr, Shelvia Jackson, Shana Triplett, Orlando J. Triplett, Mieshia Jordan, Tranique Jordan, Calvin Jordan and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation and time of reflection will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 121 West McFarland Dr., Kerrville, TX. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories North.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
