George Gordon's Funeral
SANTA CLARA, Jan. 13. - The funeral of George Gordon, the unfortunate young man who accidentally fell while in pursuit of his cows on Wednesday and broke his neck by striking against a telegraph pole, took place this afternoon from Fleury's undertaking parlors and was well attended. The services were conducted by Rev. Lewis A. Pier. His remains were laid to rest in the Santa Clara Cemetery under a large collection of floral tributes. [San Jose Mercury, January 14, 1905]
