A.C. Fambrough 83 of 3rd St. S.W., Hickory passed away Sunday April 19, 2015 after a lingering illness at Catawba Regional Hospice. He was born August 30, 1931 in Catawba County to the late Frank Fambrough and Lillie Mae Brown Fambrough.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, and he retired from Century Furniture Company. He was preceded in death by his wife Eloise Ussery Fambrough, one son Christopher Fambrough and four brothers Willie Frank Fambrough, Robert Fambrough, William Louis Fambrough, Charles Fambrough and one sister Minnie B. Fambrough.

He leaves to cherish loving memories one daughter Vivian (Bill) Fambrough of Hickory, three sons Bernard (Paula) Fambrough of Hickory, Bryant(Kimberly)Fambrough of the home, and Darryl Fambrough of the home, tree granddaughters, Telecia Fambrough of Hickory,NC, Dionne Fambrough, and Revonda Smith of Hudson, NY, three grandsons, Jermaine Fambrough and Marcus Fambrough of Hickory, NC and Quinton Cross of Hudson, NY, one step-grandson Quinton Cunningham of Lincolnton, NC, two sisters Dorothy Rinehardt of Newton, NC and Ethel (Curtis) Cunningham of Hickory, NC, one uncle Archie Brown of Gaffney, SC, a special cousin Jewel Hector of Hickory, NC, three sisters-in-law, Essie Johnson of Hickory, NC, Zella Garndner of Detroit, Michigan, and Lillie Mae Manning Fambrough of Bronx, NY, two nieces Jacqueline Ward of Raleigh, and Tabitha Ferguson of Newton, NC, five nephews Charles Fambrough Jr. and Tony Fambrough of Bronx, NY., Michael Rinehardt of Troutman, NC., Curtis Cunningham and Michael Johnson of Hickory, NC, two great nephews, D.J. Rinehardt of Newton and Patrick Rinehardt of Hickory, nine dear friends Deborah Heard, Pete Heard, Marcus Heard, Madeline Rinehardt, Jeanette Thompson, Betty Scott, Sam Dula, Robert Long,and Allen Mitchell Sr., all of Hickory, NC and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday April 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 416 2nd Ave. S.E. Hickory, NC 28602 with the Reverend J. Lamont Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at the church.
