Dylan R. Flew, 20, of Norwalk, died Monday, July 31, 2006, after being Lifeflighted to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center from Norwalk for injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born August 9, 1985, in Norwalk, to Kathi L. (Campbell) and Russell J. Flew. He was a 2003 graduate of Norwalk High School where he was a 3 year soccer letterman and a member of 2000 and 2001 Sectional Championship teams. He was selected for first team northwest, central district 2002 and second team Independent Conference 2002. He lettered in track. He was a member of Ohio Laborers Union 480 of Sandusky. He worked for R.M.H. Concrete Co of Collins. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and mud bogging. Dylan was a hero for several families by generously donating his organs for transplantation. He is survived by his parents, Russell J. and Kathi L.(Campbell) Flew; his brother, Cody A. Flew; grandmothers, Charlene Campbell and Jo Ann Flew of Norwalk. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Flew and Murton Campbell (who was a woodshop teacher and football coach at Waite and Bowsher High School) and his great-grand-parents, Vernon and Emma Flew and Ella and Henry Heckelman. Dylan also had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins originating from the Toledo/ Elyria area: Gary and Rose Flew (Seth) of Norwalk; Douglas Campbell (Carter) of New Jersey; Connie (Campbell) and Harv Sprafka (Amber, Kristen, Danny and Dawn) of Iowa; David J. Noveske of Virginia; Sandi (Noveske-Sauerwein) and James Bires (Kerry and Kevin) of Kentucky; Brian and Chris Noveske of Perrysburg; Cindy (Noveske) Cordrey, (Sonja Mikolajczyk) of Toledo; Kelly (Campbell) and Chris Tarkenton (Ashley, Rebecca, Joshua) of Virginia; David and Rebecca Campbell (Aki, Yoshi, Nangel) of Australia. The Flew family would like to thank Walker Funeral Home of Norwalk, Rev. Dr. Roger E. Smith from First United Methodist Church of Norwalk and Rev. Eric Schild from the Norwalk St. Paul's Church and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Lifeflight, ER, Neuro ICU and 2C for their excellent care, compassion, endurance and assistance with the overwhelming response of visitors showing their support. Dylan was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Bikers Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1081, Sandusky, Oh 44870 or to Life Connection of Ohio, 3661 Briarfield Blvd., Suite 105, Maumee, Oh 43537. Dylan lived his life with "no regrets" and a positive attitude which touched numerous people. Lets all rejoice for him as he would have wanted it on what would have been his 21st birthday today.
