William Anthony Dannelley was born November 19, 1887, to Anthony Oratio Dannelley and Iona Theodosia "Doshie" Capers in Walker County, Texas. William stood 5ft 9 in. tall, had gray eyes, dark hair and a fair complexion.
He was married to Elnora Lanie E. Wyric on December 15, 1907 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas. They had two children, Jack and Eloise. William was a merchant, living in Hebbronville, Jim Hogg County, Texas.
William joined the Texas Rangers as a SPECIAL RANGER on Mar. 22, 1918 through Jan. 15, 1919. In March 191, he was also the county and district clerk of Jim Hogg county and in 1930, he was county judge of Jim Hogg County.
