(1884 - 1911)
Wasted to a mere skeleton, Martin Shipper, a South side young man, died Monday after a year of mental and physical sufferings. Shipper, whose death is the third in the family within one year, had been cared for at the county asylum for some time, having been committed after relatives had found it impossible to care for him, though they made vigorous protest on his commitment.
Within the year the father, Stanislaus Shipper, 67, the mother Catherine 62 and the son Martin 27, have died. Three sisters survive.
The funeral of Shipper was held from the home at Twenty-first and Marshal streets Wednesday.
