Barbara J. Fuller, 85 of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:33 AM on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Springhill Village Convalescent Center. She was born in Terre Haute on February 2, 1930 to Raymond C. Higgins, Sr. and Marie Austin Higgins. Barbara retired from F. W. Woolworth as assistant manager in 1993 after 34 years of service, and was a long-time member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Timothy Fuller (wife Carole), and a daughter, Pamela Becker (husband Edward). Also surviving are four grandchildren; Matthew Fuller (wife Katie), Meghan Fuller, Samuel Becker, and Joel Becker, as well as two great grandchildren; Hayden Fuller and Reagan Fuller. Other survivors include a brother, Howard Higgins (wife Gwen), and 2 sisters–in–law; Jean Chappelle and Thelma Henneman and many beloved nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Homer Wayne Fuller in 1996 , and siblings Raymond Higgins, Jr., Mary Ellen Jenkins, and Frances Kruzan. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of her beloved husband.
