George Thomas Jennison, 82, of Paris died Monday, July 11, 2005, at Dubuis Hospital.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Rogers and the Rev. Randall Scott officiating. Burial follows in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family receives friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born May 1, 1923, in Altona, Manitoba, Canada, to George and Anna Nikkel Jennison. He served in the Army during World War II and returned after the war to own and operate Centrifugal Pump Repair Company in Houston, retiring in 1977. He also owned numerous rental properties in the Paris area. He married Ruby Lee Ragsdale on Oct. 21, 1956, in Dallas. She died Sept. 5, 1999. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Jennison; and a nephew, Cecil Lancaster.

He is survived by two sisters, Orpha Falk and husband, Henry, of Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada, and Gladys Casey of Morden, Manitoba, Canada; his friend and caregiver, Mary Ann Wiebe of Paris; numerous nieces and nephews, including Becky Haralson and husband, Dennis, Debbie Pollock and husband, Kenneth, Robert Floyd and wife, Madeleine, all of Houston, Jerry Floyd and wife, Beverly of League City, Kenneth Lancaster and wife, Shirley, of Paris, Eugene Lancaster and wife, Shirley, of Enloe and Marnie Falk of Winnepeg; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Ron Pollard, Robert Reed, Jimmy Noble, Dick Amis, Brad Hutchison and Jeff White.
