Everett Lee Shroll was born to Edward Clyde Shroll, Sr. and Zella Dyess Knight Shroll on December 13, 1924 along with his twin sister Ira Bea Shroll (married Broxson). The twins grew up in Dequincy, LA. In adulthood, Everett left home and worked in Alaska for many years and eventually settled in California where he worked as a civilian employee for the Department of the Navy as a pipefitter. He married Naomi (Velma Naoma Vincent Hampton) on May 4, 1973 and less than two years later, Naomi passed away due to cancer. Everett married again to Ruby Stanford on July 19, 1976 and Ruby also passed away due to cancer. Everett continued to live in Santa Ana, CA until the time of his death. His wishes were to be cremated and his remains scattered at sea. His long-time friend Dennis Hayden carried out these wishes.
