TAYLOR, Wis. (Special) Mrs. Mary N. Overby, 80, Taylor, died of pneumonia and complications Monday at 1 p.m. at Black River Memorial Hospital. She was ill two weeks.

The former Mary Nellie Thompson, she was born March 10, 1888, in the Town of Springfield, Jackson County, to Albert and Helena Storley Thompson.

She was married to Olaf S. Overby June 2, 1909, at Taylor and was a lifelong member of the Eielsen Lutheran Synod.

Survivors are: Two sons, Elvin and Eugene; one daughter, Mrs. George (Norma) Iverson; six grandchildren, and one brother, Russell. Her husband and one brother, Elmer Leroy Simon Thompson, have died.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Taylor Lutheran Church, the Rev. Thore Larson of the Eilsen Church, Jackson, Minn, officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. (assuming Woodlawn, since husband Olaf is buried there.) Pallbearers will be Leonard Veverstad, Barley Simonson, Me Solberg, Joseph Jacobson, Ellsworth Thompson and Glenn Simonson. Friends may call at Jensen funeral Home, Hixton, from Thursday afternoon to Friday noon, then at the church.

Note: Eielsen Lutheran Synod was previous name of ELCA, originated in Jefferson Prairie, WI by Elling Eielsen. That synod split and Eielsen moved to Jackson, Minnesota,
