Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bailey, 87, wife of the late Benjamin Franklin Bailey, Sr. entered into rest Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Heartland Hospice. Graveside services were held Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Cross Cemetery, Charleston, S.C. Mrs. Bailey was a native of Swainsboro Ga. and had lived most of her life in Charleston. She had made Augusta her home for the past seven years. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her son Joseph Matthew Bailey. Survivors include one daughter, Rose Cales of Augusta; two sons Van D. Bailey of North Augusta, S.C. and Benjamin Franklin Bailey, Jr. of Charleston, S.C.; her grandchildren, Ronald, Elizabeth, Frankie, Lewis, Marylee, Julie, Agnes, Cathy, Jim, Lee, Joanne and Susan and eighteen great-grandchildren.
