MRS. ALFRED ABRAHAM EXPIRES; ST. PETER’S LUTHERAN SERVICE

Mrs. Alfred Abraham Sr., 69, former resident of 1104 Pearl Lane, residing the last 19 days at the Maple Manor Nursing and Retirement Home, died at 3 p.m. Saturday at the home.

The former Esther E. Madaus was born March 22, 1897, in the Town of Eldorado, the daughter of Gustave and Magdeline Marth Madaus. She was married to Mr. Abraham Nov. 11, 1914, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Town of Nekimi. A member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Gleaners Society, Mrs. Abraham had charge of the school lunch program for several years.

Survivors include her widower, six sons, Lawrence and Clarence of Van Dyne, R. 1, Marvin, Orville and Alfred Jr, city, and Norbert of Boxford, Mass.; four daughters, Mrs. Lester Rickert of Oshkosh, Mrs. Bruno Redman, city, Mrs. Forest Wolf of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Louis Draves, Route 2; 27 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four brothers, John, Arthur and Alfred of Oshkosh and Ruben, Rockford, Ill.; and one sister, Miss Erna Madaus, Oshkosh.

Friends may call today at the Bidlingmaier Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church until the 2 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Karl Gurgel officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs .Alfred Abraham Sr., who died on Saturday, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Gurgel officiating.
Earl Roloff was the organist and the St. Peter’s School children sang at the services. Burial was at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Sylvester and Ruben Abraham, Harry and Donald Madaus, Armin Nimmer and Gregory Spanbauer.
