DR. H. ABEGG
(1873-1948)
Dr. H.H. Abegg died Tuesday evening, May 10, at his home in Dougherty following an illness of about a year. Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Patrick's Church in Dougherty at 9 o'clock with Rev. Paul Maquire in charge. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Dr. Abegg was born in Blakesburg on August 26, 1873. He studied medicine at the University of Iowa, graduating in 1898. He practiced in Blakesburg for one year, and one year at Grafton. He spent the remaining years practicing in Dougherty, until his health failed the past year.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah; five sisters, Annie Abegg of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Mrs. Stella Buchanan of Ottumwa; Mrs. Charles Hadley of Hokima, Washington, Mrs. Ed Clifford of Oneida, Illnois, Mrs. Clara Cohagen of Hollywood; and one brother, William of Alliance, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
