Joseph Hostak, 68, of the Town of Gibson, died unexpectedly of a heart attack in the barn on his farm at 1 p.m. Sunday. He previously had been in good health.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, the Rev. Sherwood Roach, pastor of the Melnik Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Joseph Hostak was born in the Town of Cooperstown on Oct. 30, 1886, a son of the late Wenzel and Catherine Shuber Hostak. When the family moved to a farm in the Town of Gibson, Mr. Hostak later took over its operation. He married thr former
Gertrude Taicher in 1943. She preceded him in death a year and a half ago.
Surviving Mr. Hostak are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Rehbein of Rt. (sic), Mishicot, Mrs. Anna Titera of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Blanche Riha of Two Rivers.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

His wife Gertrude, as shown on the headstone, was disinterred two years later, on Sept 12, 1955, shortly after Joseph died, and moved to Evergreen Cem. in Manitowoc City, to the lot of her sister, Mrs Edith (Peter), Cromos (nee Taicher)
