Alice and Leo A Donlin were married February 19, 1935. She served as postmistress three years in Stark before moving to Mildred where she held that same position 27 years. In Mildred the Donlins owned and operated the Mildred Merc and Oasis Bar and Lunch until her 1977 retirement.
December 1, 1984, she married Glenn Braley.
She was active in the community as a member of the Mildred Sage Hens Homemaker Club, Mildred Ladies Aid and was leader of the Mildred Busy Bees 4-H Club nearly 25 years.
After moving to Terry, she was active in Sacred Heart Alter Society, organist for Sacred Heart Parish, belonged to the Terry Sewing Circle and served on the Prairie Manor Board. Loving to knit, sew and quilt, she made a quilt for each of her children and sweaters for grandkids. She also enjoyed traveling.
Mrs Donlin-Braley died September 19, 2000 in Billings, where she had been a long-time resident of Parkview Care. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Dickey, Billings, Eleanor (Alfred) Koppenstein, Tacoma WA, and Helen (Chuck) Jaques, Fallon; a son, George (Grace) Donlin, Chicago IL; a foster daughter, Pat (Robert) Smith, Spanway WA; a sister, Helen (Harley) DeLange, Billings; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
