Quince Adam Hardwick, 74, died at his home in Taylorsville June 20 following an illness of five weeks. Mr Hardwick was born June 22, 1877 in Wayne County and was the son of General and Polly Ann Hardwick.

In 1897 he and Laura Blanche Walls were married and to this union six children were born. His wife and four children preceded him in death. He later married Rachel Summer, and to this union eleven children were born, two of who preceded him in death.

Mr Hardwick professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He was well known throughout Pulaski County and was respected and admired by many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 23 at the Eubank Baptist Church with the Rev. C.M. Hill officiating. Burial was in Eubank cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rachel Hardwick of Taylorsville; the following children, Mrs. Delia Manning of Pulaski, Mrs. Frank Lane of Cleves, Ohio, Mrs. Walter Hoyle and Mrs. Walter Phelps of Milford, Ohio, Mrs Floyde Calhoun of Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. Arvin Ragel of St. Bernard, Ohio, Mrs. G. B. Thomas, Bloomfield, Ky., Mrs. A.J. Dishon of Springfield, Ind., Mrs. Otis Hardin of St. Louis, Mo. and Mr. Robert Hardwick of Taylorsville, nineteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Jenny Jones, Mt Zion, Mrs. Lou Easterly of Cincinnati and Mrs. Rose New of King Bee.
