Detective Felix R. Aiken, Metropolitan Police Department-14th Precinct, retired in December 1964, passed away on September 3, 2015. While no longer a member of the AORP, we wanted you to be aware of his passing.

Detective Aiken was appointed to the Metropolitan Police Department on January 13, 1954 and retired on December 1, 1964.

Felix Randolph “General” Aiken of Germantown, Maryland, passed away on September 3rd, 2015, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

An U.S. Air Force Tuskegee Airman Veteran, Aiken obtained a B.S. degree from George Washington University. He retired as a narcotics detective from the Metropolitan Police Department (14th Precinct). He later became a Certified Public Accountant, a career he enjoyed and practiced until the time of his passing.

He was the loving husband of Anna Crockett-Aiken, beloved father of Marta Jean Aiken, and dearest brother of Helen Aiken-Stoney. The family patriarch is also survived by a host of devoted relatives and friends.

Family and friends will celebrate his remarkable life on Thursday, September 10th, 2015, at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 1301 North Carolina Ave. NE, Washington D.C.
