LAKE PROVIDENCE, LA - Funeral services for Reynaldo "Ray" Hernandez, Sr., age 78 of Lake Providence, Louisiana, will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
Father Mark Watson will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Providence Memorial Cemetery in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence.
Mr. Hernandez passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Hernandez and Augustina Saldana Hernandez; brother, Roy Hernandez; brother, Richard Hernandez; and sister, Angelita Hernandez.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hermelinda Gaitan Hernandez of Lake Providence; son and daughter-in-law, Ray Hernandez, Jr. and Denise Hernandez of Memphis, Tennessee; son Roland Hernandez of Lake Providence; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Renee Hernandez of Collinston, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Joni Hernandez of Maringouin, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Rene and Verna Hernandez of Lake Providence; sister, Mary Villereal of Edcouch, Texas; sister, Tommie Perez of Lafiere, Texas; sister, Delfina Hernandez of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Pallbearers are his grandsons.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 from 1 to 9 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence.
Rosary Service will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 7 PM in the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence.
