Born Oct. 8, 1931, in Washington County, MD, he was the son of the late Mary Virginia (Hull) and Charles A. St. Clair, Sr.
Charles was a teacher at Hagerstown Community College for several years. He also bartended for many years in New Jersey. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1969. Charles was a life member at VFW of Hagerstown, and a member of Owls Club of Hagerstown. He loved crossword puzzles.
Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary St. Clair; four daughters, Sharon St. Clair of Funkstown, Linda Kline of Hagerstown, Alice Hurd of Hagerstown and Pamela Perkins of Hagerstown; one sister; four brothers; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one son, “Butchie” St. Clair; two sisters; one brother; and two nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Marine Corps League of Hagerstown and Joint Veterans Council of Washington County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
