Rafael Abrego went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2015 at the age of 57.

He was born to Yolanda Abrego on November 17, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his mother, brothers, Ismael Abrego and Ruben Abrego.

Rafael is survived by his loving wife Candi Abrego, daughter Jennifer Abrego and grandson Jesiah Rafael Villarreal-Abrego; sisters Jackie Jaramillo, Cecilia Gonzalez and Yolanda Cardero (Dickie), nephew Bert Abrego (Melissa), godson Ruben Abrego, AJ and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rafael was a proud veteran of the Air Force and Fort Sam Houston Fire Department. He served 33 years as a Firefighter and owned his own air condition business.

During his years here with us he touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends and gave us a lifetime of love and memories. Rafael will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Prayer Service at 7 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapel-South. Services will continue at the funeral home Monday, September 21, 2015 at 9:00 am. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
