Verna Stephanie Collins, 49, didn't take life for granted. She lived and she loved and we all have benefited from having her in our life. Stephanie had many gifts, but as the Bible says, the greatest of these is love. Stephanie loved. On Wednesday, September 16, Erica Clark and Ernest Collins lost their daughter. Ernie lost his sister, and June Tharp lost her granddaughter. The rest of us lost a loving and compassionate friend. Her friends and family were the most important part of her life. How lucky we were to have her in ours.

Stephanie is survived by mother, Erica Gail Clark; and stepfather, Randy Clark; father, Ernest Collins, and Kathy Collins, stepmother; grandmother June Tharp; brother, sister-in-law and nephew whom she adored Ernie, Mandy, and Benjamin Collins; and step-brothers Kenny and Randy Clark and step-sister Sonya Garcia. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, five step-nieces and nephews, and her many friends she considered family. No send-off for Stephanie would be complete without mentioning how much she loved the Florida Keys and her dear friends there, country music, and University of Tennessee Football.

Her celebration of life service will reflect her love of all these things, so come prepared to celebrate the life of our precious daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Stephanie is not dead. She is alive and now safely in the presence of her Savior, Jesus.

Celebration of life service for Stephanie Collins, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, IJAMS Nature Center 2915 Island Home Ave. Knoxville, TN 37920, officiated by Dwight Singleton.
