RUMNEY -- Doris E. Tunnell, 100, died Jan. 9,2009. A lifelong resident of Rumney, she was born on June 24,1908, in Rumney, the daughter of Curtis and Kate (Loveland) Avery.
She attended Rumney schools, graduating from Plymouth High School. After graduating she attended the Posse-Nissen School for Physical Education in Boston. She married her beloved husband, Winston Tunnell, in 1929. She did volunteer work in the Rumney and surrounding communities before having her three children.
SERVICES: Graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Route 25 in Rumney at 2 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to the service to help celebrate her life. Mayhew Funeral Homes of Meredith and Plymouth are handling the arrangements.
