CATHERINE (KAY) IRENE NOONAN, 85, of Houston, born in Melrose, Massachusetts on December 9, 1919, entered the Kingdom of God on December 21, 2004. Kay was a veteran in the Medical division of the US Navy during WWII. Following her naval service, Kay joined the Missionary Servant of the Most Blessed Trinity where she ministered for several years. Kay worked for the next 37 years for Civil Service, 21 of which were spent at the VA Hospital in Houston. Kay was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas and Ellen Noonan and her brother, Father Tom Noonan, SSJ. She is survived and will be greatly missed by Marsha and George Solana of Austin, Texas, Vivian Dallas of Houston as well as numerous residents and staff members of St. Dominic Village. Since November 19, 1987 Kay has been part of this very special family. Each person at St. Dominic's will forever hold in their hearts treasured memories of their special loving relationship with Kay. She had a smile and kind words for all whom she met. Her gracious generosity touched many lives. Others came first with her always. Kay now rests in God's embrace where she will intercede for her many friends as they travel their life's journey. A Rosary will be held at St. Dominic Village Chapel on Monday, December 27 at 7:00 PM with Visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be in the Chapel at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 28. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Dominic Village, 2401 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77021.
