Carmon was the daughter of Owen and Mamie (Fitts) Arterberry. She graduated from Dustin High School in 1952. She married Russell Overmon on July 5, 1949 in Eufaula. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cleo East; two brothers, J. O. and Buddy Arterberry. Funeral services were held Wednesday May 16, 1990 at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Black's Funeral Home, Eufaula.
