She was born December 16, 1927 in Taylorville, the daughter of William Bates and Goldie Tyler Bates McMillen. On March 22, 1952 she married Buren Donaldson in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1967. She then married Sam Falco on January 6, 1982 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1996. Grace was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was a beautician for many years, having a shop in her home and was later a beautician at Meadow Manor Nursing Home. Grace loved working on crafts, making dolls and sewing. She also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.
Surviving are her son: William Donaldson of Taylorville; Daughters: Connie Thomas and husband Jeff Carol Tucker and husband Tom, and Cindy Hooper all of Taylorville. Sister: Beulah Durbin of Stonington. Granddaughters: Mary Murray, Samantha Belsher, Melanie Stillwell and Charity Mullen; Grandsons: Justin Hooper and Brent Hooper; Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth Rahar, Sophie Greer and Kirk Harris and one Great-Great Granddaughter: Zennie Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, Granddaughter Molly Rahar, Brother: Charles McMillen and Sisters: Judy Babich, Ruby White, Annie Davis and Olive Oller.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 26 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Mariadas Chatla officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville. A Prayer Services will be held at 5:00 pm. Burial will take place at 2:30 pm at Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, IL.
