Funeral services for Barbara Joan Hartsell, 82, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Endris officiating and Bro. Adam Joplin assisting. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. Monday, September 14, 2015 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hartsell was born October 17, 1932 in Kingwood, WV and passed away September 11, 2015. She enjoyed gardening and loved her church and her family. Throughout her lifetime, she has touched the hearts of many individuals and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Hartsell, Sr.; father and mother, Denzil L. and Ethel Rager; daughter-in-law, Cathy Hartsell; three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Hartsell is survived by one son, Robert D. Hartsell, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; three daughters, Pam Williams and husband, Charles, Candy Johnson and husband, Don, Susie Swayze and husband, Ricky all of Coushatta, LA; special adopted daughter, Kathy Eble of Morgantown, WVA; one sister, Lorelei Casteel of Maryland; ten grandchildren: Robert Hartsell, III, Jeremy Hartsell, Angie Chrisikos and husband, Greg, Virginia Williams and husband, Floyd, Rodney Williams and wife, Brandi, Matthew Johnson, Megan Smith, Scotty Swayze and wife, Sherry, Melanie McCorkel and husband, Matt, and Wesley Swayze and wife, Stacey; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Williams, Matthew Johnson, Wesley Swayze, Scotty Swayze, Austin McCrory, and Matt McCorkel. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Swayze, Tristan Swayze, Cameron Swayze, Clark Swayze, Zack Wood, and Denver Williams.
