Fredrick "Snowball" Toltzman, 77, of 4915 Vista Road, Manitowoc, was called to his eternal rest on Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at the residence.
Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Pastors' Arno Wolfgramm and Bruce Bitter will officiate with cremation having taken place.
He was born February 8, 1915, at Manitowoc, son of the late William and Alvina Wolfordt Toltzmann. He attended Manitowoc Public Schools and was a sheet metal worker at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1979. He married the former Jean Meyers on September 4, 1943, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He was a Veteran of World War II and a member of Shoto Conservation Club and First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Karl Roekle of Friendship, Wis., Betsy Kunesh of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Jeff Roekle, serving in the Navy in Bremerton, Wash., Debbie and her husband Jeff Bailey of Sun Prairie, Kurt and Heidi Roekle of Friendship, Bob and Lisa Kunesh of Manitowoc; a great grandson, Brian Bailey of Sun Prairie; many loving and caring nieces, nephews and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, William, Earl "Smokey" Toltzman and two infant brothers, three sisters, Clara Dorschner, Evelyn Holtz and Marie Weier.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research (Wisconsin Alzheimer's Information and Training Center), Time Out For Caregivers Group Respite Program, First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
