The date 1899 is the date the cemetery clerk gave my grandmother and mother for Grace's stone when they were searching for where Grace was buried. My grandmother always wanted to put a stone on her mother's( Grace) grave and she finally did in approx. 1975 after finding it. Grandma was 3 when her mother died with the story that she died giving child birth along with her infant brother. In my research I find that the infant was 4 days old when Grace died. I sent for a death cert in my genealogy search and it says she was born in 1892. maybe the clerk couldn't read the hand writing who knows? But an obit I found in the Springfield Illinois State Journal says she was 27 years 3 months and 20 days matching the death cert. leaving behind a daughter and infant son 4 days old. I am going to call that cemetery if I can figure out who to call and see if there are two Grace Rule. You have struck my interest again. I do know that there is no infant in that grave with Grace. My grandmother will be 92 this year and I'm still looking which makes it difficult living in Wisconsin.

I FORGOT WHO SENT ME THIS INFOMATION. SORRY.
