His mother Jane Ellen Lawson, b. 14 Feb. 1866, Dublin, was a daughter of
William D. Lawson and Margaret Burnet Dixon Lawson

his younger brother Lieut. Lawson Ellis Allan also died in WW1.

William Allan, like his brother Lawson Allan, has no known grave.

His name is included in the
