Eunice E. Keppler, 91, a Kiel resident, died Tuesday morning, September 22, 2015, at Field of Dreams Assisted Living, Kiel. She was the former Eunice Pelikan, born March 10, 1924, in Virginia, daughter of the late Frank & Rosa (Svoboda) Pelikan. Eunice was a graduate of UW Platteville. On October 1, 1949, she married James A. Keppler, a Kiel native, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1970. Eunice was an elementary school teacher in Horicon before coming to Kiel, where she taught 1st grade, retiring in 1986. Survivors include her daughter, Kay Keppler, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, nine brothers & sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services for Eunice will be held on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Peter UCC (424 Fremont St. Kiel) with Dan Krueger, Licensed Lay Minister officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of service.

Parents born in Czechoslovakia. Frank and Rosa Svoboda Pelikan were married 24th October, 1905 in Chicago, Ill.
Siblings of Eunice: Robert, Milton, Alice, Paul, Thelma, Frances,and Margaret.
