Brown was a pioneer settler, moving to the Dos Palos district twenty-five years ago, where he was employed by Miller & Lux. He was born in Iowa and came to California forty-three years ago, residing at Santa Cruz for several years.
He leaves three daughters, Mrs. H. F. Green, Mrs. H. E. Hobbs and Mrs. E. V. Helm, all of Dos Palos; a sister, Mrs. A. O. Holsington of Leonia, Idaho; a brother, M. J. Brown of Elgin, Nebraska; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
His wife died three years ago. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary seven years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. to-morrow in the Christian Church in Dos Palos, with Rev. Theodore Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Dos Palos Cemetery under the direction of the Welch and Griffin Funeral Home.
