Cumberland Times, Cumberland, Maryland, March 26, 1967: "Mrs. Margaretta Pearl McHugh, 72, of 106 Potomac Street, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital following an illness of several years. Born at Star Junction, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John and Grace (Gibbons) Haley and widow of John B. McHugh. Mrs. McHugh was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Thomas P. McHugh, this city; and John G. McHugh, Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. James G. Leasure, city; a brother, James Haley, Saxton, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Russell, Saugus, Calif.; Mrs. John McWilliams, Akron, and Mrs. William Eckhardt, Port Charlotte, Fla., and a granddaughter. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home.”
