After the death of Margaret in 1870 John Hall Brian remarried twice.

Barry and Kilgore family papers indicate that Margaret died and was buried in Fannin County, Texas. Her grave has not been located at this time. It is possible that she was buried in Bonham City Cemetery which no longer exists. Many graves were not moved before the area was developed. It is also possible that Margaret and John Brian's daughter, Dora, was also buried in the same location as they both died in 1870.
