Annie passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was born on April 7, 1929 in Greenville, the daughter of Fred Albert and Frances Edna (Wylie) Bryant. She married Herbert Abernathy on June 30, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant. She was a telephone operator, florist and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Herbert; sons, Mark Abernathy and wife, Deborah of Douglasville, GA and Billy Abernathy of Cumby; daughters, Bobbi Abernathy of Commerce and Ruth Abernathy of Crandall and three-grandchildren, Whitney, Andrew and Katherine.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Frances Crownover-Oswald.
