Bruce worked for BF Goodrich as an engineer and then joined the Navy. He was a World War II Veteran.
He was also a member of the free Masons for 65 years achieving one of the highest ranks possible in the society. Bruce moved to Florida to open six tobacco stores in Lee and Charlotte Counties.
He left behind three children, Dawn Chouinard, David Anthony and Charlene Murphy. He had three grandchildren, Jordan Easton, Dustin Juliano and Jacob Chouinard. He also leaves behind a large family, nieces and nephews and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Ilda Abbey, his brother Donald Abbey and his daughter Shelly and three grandchildren.
Bruce was always happy and never let anything get him down. He was always smiling. He was full of life and had a very good long life to show for it. He will forever be missed and in our hearts because of his positive outlook on life and strong moral values. This is the legacy he leaves behind for all of us.
A memorial service will be held at his daughter Dawn's House on Oct. 24, 2015 at 2 pm.
