Austin P. Suozzo, of Mill Street, Stockton, died at his home on Thursday.

He was employed as a field representative with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. A lifelong resident of Stockton, he held several public offices there. He was president of the Stockton Elementary Board of Education, a position he held several times during his twenty years of service. He served concurrently on the South Hunterdon Regional High School Board of Education from 1962-69. In addition, he served as Stockton Borough Clerk and as chairman of the Municipal Board of Elections. He was a member of St. Agnes RC Church in Stockton.

Mr. Suozzo was a WW II Navy veteran and served in the South Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Harmon.

Surviving are his wife, Pam Palmieri Suozzo; two sons; a daughter, one granddaughter, two brothers, Donald and Joseph, both of Stockton; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Williams of Stockton and Mrs. Anita Hunyadi of Trenton, several nieces and nephews.

His obituary was published in the Lambertville Beacon on October 26, 1978.
