Lois A. Wallander, age 78, of Manitowoc, passed away Wednesday evening, September 23, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

The former Lois Neuser was born on January 22, 1937 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edmund and Alice (Weber) Neuser. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1955. On November 7, 1959 she married Bernard "Bernie" Wallander at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2004. She enjoyed reading, baking and puzzles. Lois was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw.

Lois is survived by her five children and their spouses: Laura (Steven) Driscoll, Huntington Beach, CA; Terry (Chris) Wallander, Manitowoc; Philip (Shelley) Wallander, New Richmond; Todd (Kay) Wallander, Whitelaw; Scott Wallander, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Kelly Driscoll, Ryan Driscoll, Brittany Knight; Derrick Wallander; Justin Wallander; Shianne (Cody) Dobkins; Nicole Wallander and her fiancé: Dave Djukic; Andrew Wallander; two step-grandchildren: Landon Grimm; Cassie Grimm; two sisters: Elaine Handl, Manitowoc; Patsy Burkart, Sheboygan; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Joe (Sandra) Neuser, Green Bay; John (Sandra) Neuser, Manitowoc; Thomas Neuser, CA; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law: Robert Wallander, Manitowoc; Edward (Lucille) Wallander Jr., Manitowoc; Tom (Pam) Wallander, Springfield, MO; Allan (Sue) Wallander, Saugus, CA; Pauline Wallander, Clarks Mills; Laura Braun, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edmund and Alice Neuser; her husband: Bernard "Bernie" Wallander; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Theresa Wallander Sr.; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Daniel (Patricia) Neuser; Robert Neuser; one sister: Caroline Pedro; five sisters-in-law and nine brothers-in-law: Mary Ann (Gene) Johnson; Marie (Joseph) Yohanek; Rita (Charles) McKiel; Gary Kaminski; Arthur Burkart; Michael Wallander; Daniel Wallander; Doris (Hal) Schuh; Clifford Handl; Elaine Wallander.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 110 W. Menasha Ave., Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial of her cremated remains to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
