Mrs. Christine M. Owens, 83 of RD 1, McDonough where she had resided the past 10 years, died early today at Cortland Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Roy E. Owens.
She was the daughter of Louis and Gertrude Bruchmann Horony, born Sept. 3, 1883 at Rock Island, Ill.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Beckwith of McDonough; a son, Roy W. Summers of Fort Worth, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. J.O. Adams of Fort Worth, Tex.; a brother, Louis F. Horony of Stowe, Ohio; three grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Earle W. Wright Funeral Home with Richard Gallagher, reader. Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
