Juanita D. Acevedo, 82, of San Antonio, passed away on September 24, 2015. She was born to the late Johnnie E. and Dorotea Falcon Diaz on March 8, 1933, in Taylor, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Acevedo, Jr., a son, Anthony Acevedo, a son-in-law, Ruben Estrella, Jr., 1 brother and 1 sister. She is survived by son: Jesus Acevedo, III (Maria Ellena); daughters: Yolanda Mesa (Ramiro), Mary Ann Farias, Isabelle Acevedo (Roger Reyna) and Norma Estrella; sisters: Mary Rocha (Ben), Anita Botello (Richard, Sr.), and Esther Perry (Chip); 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Juanita was a very dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday, September 28, 2015, from 6-8 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, 1715 N Zarzamora, followed by interment at San Fernando #2 Cemetery.
