Died, Friday morning, May 21st, Mrs. Anna Cline, wife of Harry A. Cline, of this city.
Probably no death has caused so much universal sadness in Albion for some time as the death of Mrs. Harry Cline. Three years ago the 26th of next month, she was married to Mr. Cline at her parent's home in Valley and came here as the wife of one of our most popular young merchants. She was universally loved by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance and when a week before she died, she gave birth to a son, congratulations came abundantly to the happy husband and mother. She seemed to be getting along nicely till Wednesday of last week when her heart became affected and she died Friday morning, leaving as a legacy to her husband, the little one who had come to brighten the home and fond memory of a beautiful wife and loving companion.
Anna Rice was born in Illinois, May 7, 1878, and came with her parents to Valley, Neb. twenty-two years ago. She joined the Methodist church when she was fifteen years of age and upon her moving to Albion, transferred her membership to the Methodist church here.
The funeral was held at the residence Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. George of the Methodist church and the burial was at Rose Hill. A long line of carriages followed the remains to their resting place.
The casket was covered with a profusion of flowers. The Royal Highlanders, of which she was a member, furnished a large slab of white roses, lilies of the valley and carnations.
The members of the Methodist church furnished a large wreath of pink and white carnations and white rose buds.
The business men of the city sent for a large box of flowers, but for some reason it was not delivered in time.
Mrs. Rice, mother of Mrs. Cline, who had been with her daughter for several weeks, at the request of Mr. Cline, took the baby home with her for the present.
