Bessie Goldie Rice Laird (153008080)
Bessie Rice Laird was the oldest daughter of William and Alice Rice. She married William Laird who was from Shelby County Iowa and their daughter Carrie was born in Iowa. Bessie did not regain her health after the birth of her daughter and died the next year. William's extended family helped raise Carrie. (Carrie was named for the younger sister of Bessie who died shortly after birth.)
