DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Harlan W. Brush, 77, of Alliance, O., well-known newspaper publisher, died early today at his home here.
Brush, who was founder and former publisher of the Alliance Review, had been living in Florida during the winter for several years. He was publisher of the North Tonawanda, N.Y., News in 1895 and was appointed sonsul at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, by President McKinley in 1897.
He was transferred to Milan, Italy, in 1899, where he served as consul general until President McKinley's death. He then returned to the United States and operated the North Tonawanda news until a few years ago.
Funeral services will be held Saturday in Daytona Beach. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette, and a brother, Louis Brush, who is president of the Brush-Moore Newspapers, Inc., Canton, Ohiol
