Tony R. Capps, 68, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at his home.

He was born August 8, 1947, in Tompkinsville, KY, to the late James M. Capps and Mae F. (Graham) Stamper.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary Lou Capps; step-daughters, Melissa Schlachter and Christie (Brian) Adcock; daughter, Sarah (Zeb) Watts; grandchildren, Payton, Emma, and Abby Tucker, Cameron, Caleb, and Bree Adcock, and Presley Watts; siblings, R. T. (Linda) Stamper, Ruth Ferguson, Jamie (Monte) Martin, Ann (Gary) Bynum, Cher Crouch, James (Nancy) Capps, Becky (Norman) Griffith, Roy (Gwenn) Stamper, Jr., and Barbie (Doug) Coffey; and many nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jesse Stamper.

He was a VETERAN, having served in Vietnam from 1966-1968 in Special Forces.

He owned and operated Tony's Auto Care and in 1998 he married his wife, Mary Lou, and joined her Civil War uniform and equipment business, Crescent City Sutler.
