B. Carmen Hall, 88, of Ashland died late Sunday evening, Sept. 27, 2015, at Hospice of North Central Ohio.

She was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Dunbar, West Virginia, the daughter of Arnold and Virginia (née Abshire) Dodson.

Carmen moved to the Loudonville area in 1950 and was the manager and secretary at the Big House of Malabar Farm as well as the Gift House for 35 years, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the former Business and Professional Women's Club of Perrysville.

On April 26, 1978, she married Robert C. Hall and moved to Ashland, living there for nearly 35 years. Carmen was a member of First Baptist Church, Ashland, and kept busy working nearly all the time.

Carmen is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Davelyn Stricklen of Centerville and Stephen and Stacy Stricklen of Loudonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and John Burkhart of Loudonville and Peggy and James Simpson of Pavo, Georgia; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Forrest McCroskey of South Charleston, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert C. Hall, in 2007; and two brothers, William and Bernard Dodson.

A graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating.
