Rosella Lucille Stimpert, 77, died peacefully Sept. 27, 2015 at her home in Sleepy Eye with her family at her side. Rosella requested a private service with her family. She will be at peace next to her son Daniel in Arizona. The family wishes to thank all those who loved her and cared for her during her fight with cancer.

Rosella was born to the late Edward and Mathilda (Seidl) Sellner. She married James Stimpert on July 27, 1955 at St. Mary's Church in Sleepy Eye. Together they raised seven children. Rosella enjoyed spending time in her gardens, tending her flowers, reading, embroidering, and spending time with her family and friends.

Rosella is survived by her husband, James Stimpert; sons, Dale (Susie) of Sleepy Eye, Scott (Theresa) of Stewart; daughters, Sandy (Kevin) Haala of Red Wing, Brenda (Don) Brown of Mesa, Ariz., Sherry (Steve Shreiener) of Florence, Ariz. and Wendy (Randy) Huiras of New Ulm; brothers, Paul of Sioux Falls, S.D., Florian (Doyle) and Larry of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Mildred Baker, Phyllis Westman, Melanie Meyer and Joyce Berg of Sleepy Eye and Patricia Seifert and Beatrice Koops of New Ulm; sixteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Rosella was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel; sisters Maryann Rodewald, Leona Platz and Rita Seifert; and brothers, Eddie and Raymond.
