The funeral of Elling Anderson, who died at Denver, Colorado, December 14, was held at the M.E. Church at Winnetoon, Saturday last, Rev. L.L. Swan of St. Mark's Church of Creighton officiating.
The deceased, who has passed his life in this locality, was born in Howard county, Iowa, September 19, 1881, being in his 24th year at the time of his death.
For two years past, he had been suffering from impaired health, caused by consumption. Two months ago, he went to Colorado in hopes of obtaining relief, but the change proved futile.
The esteem in which the young man was held was evidenced by the large number of friends who attended at the church to pay their last tribute of regard to his memory.
Our sympathy goes out to the father and brothers in their hour of affliction.
