Brenda was born in 1947, in Greenville, Kentucky, to Charles and Allie (Boggess) Sampson. She married Woodrow (Bud) Davis on June 5, 1964 in Madisonville, Kentucky. He survives in Dwight.
Brenda is also survived by her son, Steven (Faye) Davis of Marseilles; daughter, Jill (Brent) Ohlendorf of Dwight; mother-in-law, Fern Davis; grandchildren, Carina Davis, Eric Davis, Chad Davis, Avery Ohlendorf, and Kade Ohlendorf; and by two great grandchildren.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Troy Davis; brothers, Larry and Norris Sampson; sister-in-law, Judy Duckwitz; and her father-in-law, Woodrow W. Davis.
Brenda Worked at Dwight Township High School and MVK schools. She spent her life cooking for family, friends and school children. She was a lover of God and Jesus, song birds, yellow roses, gospel music, shopping and spoiling her grandkids.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 5, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at the Dwight United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight (after the funeral services that morning). Burial will be at Arborcrest Cemetery in Effingham, IL, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
